I took portraits of my softball team. One of the people I took pictures of was Reese Westover. We’re very close, we’ve been on the same softball team for four years. She’s very nice, funny, and smart. She goes to Pioneer High School. She has been to my house numerous times, and I’ve been to hers. We’ve went threw hard times and good times together. We both were happy when we won USSSA states in canton, but we were also together when we lost USA states in Holland and her dad got very upset at our team.
When I took my portraits, I was at a restaurant with my softball team. There were some clouds in the sky, but there was also some sun, so my pictures didn’t look gray. I started taking the pictures in a fields, but it made the picture look really bland and boring. So I used the brick from the building as background. I think it capture the light pretty well, and the background wasn’t too boring or too exotic. When one of my friends suggested I take the pictures in front of the building, I felt so stupid. It was such an obvious background to use I should’ve thought of it. I started taking the portraits and I’m really happy on how they turned out.
